A solo exhibition of recent Landscape Paintings by Manoj Deshmukh has been organised at the Nehru Centre Circular Gallery from 31st January to 6th February, 2017. Through this exhibition Manoj offers a view into the abundant natural beauty present in our surroundings. The artist creates a vibrant symphony of colors to highlights effects such as brilliant light, strong shadows, rain, mist etc.
Manoj’s art is an ode to the countryside. His palette is vividly charged with shuttle shades of blue green symbolizing spirituality, calmness and peacefulness. The bond that the artist has created with nature comes alive on his canvas. Most of this art is cantered on the rural, recreating landscapes from his childhood as if they were frozen in time. His treatment of colors and forms transforms everyday mundane scenes into special creations.
“The countryside serves the true essence of man’s bond with nature and its surroundings. The flora and fauna, the animals and birds, the rivers and the lakes, the rising sun and the shining stars, all of this inspires hope and gives courage to my artistic spirit”, states the artist.
Currently residing in Raigad, Manoj has completed his G. D. Art and Art Teacher’s Diploma. His landscapes have been widely appreciated by audience. His art has been recognised in significant art exhibitions such as the Art Society of India’s Best Landscape Award in 2013, Three State Level Awards for Landscapes. He has participated in Art Exhibitions organised by The Bombay Art Society, Art Society of India, Camel Art Show and Monsoon Show in Mumbai.
