Conviction in belief, persistence and confidence are essentials that go on to create a Brand. The process of branding requires patience and much more. At the book launch of BRANDNAMA, it was an interesting mix of successful Maharashtrian business owners who came together and shared their views on branding and gave their best wishes to Abhijit Joag, the writer of the book BRANDNAMA.
Published by Rasik Antarbharati and Pratisaad Communications, Written by Abhijit Joag, the book launch event had Actor Sachin Khedekar as its Guest of Honour. The e-book was launched at the event as well. Also present were Gautam Thakur of Saraswat Bank, Shashank Paranjape, MD of Paranjape Constructions, Shrikrishna Chitale of Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale & Saurabh Gadgil of PN Gadgil Jeweller. Interaction with these dynamic business owners was conducted by Writer Kshitij Patwardhan .
Gautam Thakur was emphatic about cultivating top-of-the-mind recall value for brands even in service sector.
Shrikrishna Chitale who ventured directly into the family business post his graduation cautioned about being updated about compliances of trademark for originality when it came to branding.
Saurabh Gadgil comes from generations of Jewellers and had no pressure from home to pursue the family business. During studying MBA, there was a situation which he volunteered to handle in South Asia and Singapore, having been given the free hand by Dajikaka Gadgil at the time and that is how he came into the business. He said that a Brand and its maker cannot be separated and that can be a strength as well as weakness. Branding is a part of establishing a strong presence in the market was his take on the subject.
Shashank Paranjape is proud that his company Parajape Builders expanded its vision in its tagline ‘The Spirit of New India’ and that he feels connects the brand to new age customers. His company is a brand that is a fusion of heritage, value and heralds the spirit of new India.
Sachin Khedekar opined that although being recognized actor of repute, what he certainly lacked was the push required in establishing self-branding.
Abhijit Joag stated his reasons for wanting to document in Marathi the importance of branding in business growth and expansion.
Vote of thanks was given by Shailesh Nandurkar.
